On Saturday 12th October 2019, the Rotarians of Winslow are offering to help you in your home for free with tasks that require assistance and that no one in your household can safely manage. This day is part of their community service, ‘Lend A Hand Day’.
The Rotarians of Winslow visit the homes of (usually) older people to carry out small tasks that a householder would normally do for themselves but which an older person may no longer be able to achieve in a safe manner. The Rotarians are flexible but generally help people living in Winslow itself and the villages within a radius of five – six miles of them.
They will usually work in a team of at least two people and will supply the labour and the tools for the job, however they do not supply any materials.
Because they want to help as many people as they can on the day, the Rotarians can only do the work that you have requested on the form and the maximum time allowed at your home is usually one hour. The Rotarians cannot work in your home if anyone is smoking during the visit.
If you have a job that needs doing, fill out the application form and return the form to Trevor Bryant, Community Services Committee, c/o Flat 22 Sevengables, Buckingham Road, Winslow, MK18 3RS.
Once they receive your form, they will check they can do the job and Winslow Rotory Club may telephone you to confirm everything.
