Volunteer with Carers Bucks and help us to make a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn skills and have fun! There is also the satisfaction of knowing that you are doing something worthwhile. Carers Bucks is committed to your wellbeing while you volunteer with us. Our aim is to ensure your time and commitment are used to the benefit of all, and that you enjoy the time you spend with us. We are always keen to hear from anyone aged 18 and over who has an interest in volunteering with us.

Frequently asked questions

It can vary between each volunteering role. On average, carer’s support groups are two hours long. There may be organisational things to do before and after but we can discuss any concerns you may have.

As a volunteer you will be entitled to have your travel costs reimbursed.

We will make sure that you know all about your volunteering role at Carers Bucks. If you volunteer with younger carers, you will need to undertake safeguarding training before you start.

Expenses claimed as a volunteer do not affect your benefits. It may be a good idea though to inform your benefits advisor that you are volunteering.
