Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and learn new skills. There’s also the satisfaction of knowing that your doing something useful and worthwhile. It should also be fun! You can choose the type of role that you want at a time to suit you. We are always looking for people to help with bucket collections to support our fundraising team.

Each of our volunteers can ‘earn’ Time Credits per hour of volunteering for us. See flyer for more details on what Time Credits are and how they can be spent.

Here are a few of our current volunteering opportunities:

Aylesbury and Wycombe Young Carers Volunteer Drivers – see flyer for details

Wycombe Admin Assistant Volunteer – see flyer for details

Wycombe Activities Assistant Volunteer – see flyer for details

Comments from Carers Bucks volunteers:

Paul: ‘I started volunteering at Carers Bucks in September 2014. The reason I’m still here three years later is because I see, first-hand, what a massive difference the help & support they provide makes to carers. It’s rewarding to know that the work I do contributes to that. This is a very friendly & welcoming place to work, to anyone considering volunteering, I’d wholeheartedly recommend Carers Bucks.’

Michael: ‘I volunteer at Carers Bucks because I am currently looking for a permanent full time job and found I was getting bored sat at home all the time with nothing to do, so I contacted Community Impact Bucks who put me in touch. My role is very varied, and I do lots of different things like updating the websites, updating spreadsheets and helping to pull together information for carers events. I would encourage people to volunteer as it is a great way to meet new people and gives you something to do if you have free time.’
