Anyone can become a Carer. Carers come from all walks of life, all cultures and can be of any age. It is estimated that there are around 44,000 family Carers in Buckinghamshire and around 6 million nationally. Every day another six thousand people take on a caring role. Many family Carers do not recognise themselves as a Carer; they are just looking after their son, daughter, father or wife and doing what anyone else would do in the same situation.
