Black and Minority Ethnic Carers

Carers from the Asian community

Family Carers exist in all communities and although they often face similar issues Carers from the black and minority ethnic (BME) communities often have additional problems due to cultural or religious differences or difficulties with language.

Carers Bucks is fortunate to have experienced staff in both our Wycombe and Aylesbury offices, who are multi-lingual and representative of the local BME community, to provide a specific service to these Carers.

BME Carers can take advantage of all of the services provided by Carers Bucks. In addition to these we are able to provide:

Sewing classes for Asian women
Exercise classes including yoga
Talks and training sessions run with bi-lingual speakers or interpreters
Trips and outings

Carers from the Polish Community

We are fortunate to have a Polish speaking volunteer working with us to support Carers from the Polish community.
